The Bird House Thing - Nashville, TN - March 11

Laura's art will be a part of the live auction.

The Birdhouse Thing is a unique event that has become a favorite on the Nashville social scene. A benefit for the W.O. Smith Music School, The Birdhouse Thing showcases 150 artfully designed birdhouses and related works of art available for purchase through both live and silent auction at the event. Local artists, architects, celebrities, and public figures donate time and talents to decorate houses for the cause. Past participants include visual artists such as Lanie Gannon, Paul Harmon, Bob McGill, Bill Johnson, Laura Loving, Herb Williams, and Edie Maney; celebrities such as Vince Gill, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Jimmy Wayne, Randy Travis, and Wynonna; and community leaders such as The Honorable Philip Bredesen and Mayor Bill Purcell.

In addition to the auction, attendees feast on an outstanding selection of food and drink provided by a wide variety of Nashville’s hottest caterers, specialty food shops and,popular dining destinations.

For over 26 years, Spotlight on Art has been the principal fund-raising activity of Trinity School, an independent coeducational school serving pre-school through elementary age children.

New York artist Laura Loving, originally from the Atlanta area, will exhibit a selection or her original paintings at Saks Fifth Avenue in Atlanta January 7th through February 10th. The exhibit is a preview to The Trinity School's annual fund raiser, "Spotlight on Art", sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue. Saks Fifth Avenue is located at 3440 Peachtree Road in Phipps Plaza and open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
